Sharni + Ricky | Harcourt Valley Vineyards Wedding

Some couples just radiate joy and from the moment I arrived, I knew this day was going to be one big celebration. Sharni and Ricky’s wedding at Harcourt Valley Vineyards was all about having fun, not stressing, and soaking up every single second together. From the calm, easy morning to the wild dancefloor later that night, it was one of those days that just flowed. Effortlessly. Naturally. Perfectly them.

Sharni’s vision for the day was simple but so spot-on: “Have fun, don’t stress about things I can’t control, be happy, and celebrate me and Ricky.” And honestly? She absolutely nailed it.

The whole day ran like clockwork — not in that rigid, by-the-minute kind of way, but in that “everything’s falling into place and we’re just enjoying it” kind of way. Their colour palette of sage green and light grey paired perfectly with the vineyard backdrop — soft, timeless, and relaxed.

Ricky and Sharni were both totally in the moment, laughing their way through the photos, chatting with guests, and genuinely just loving being together. As the sun started to dip, we snuck away for a few sunset photos — that dreamy golden light wrapping around them while they took a few minutes to breathe it all in. You could tell they were exactly where they were meant to be.

And then came the dancefloor… oh my gosh. It was lit. I mean, hands-in-the-air, shoes-off, everyone-losing-their-minds kind of lit. It was the perfect end to a day that was bursting with energy and love from start to finish.

Sharni and Ricky’s story goes way back all the way to high school in 2018 at Eaglehawk Secondary. He was in Year 9, she was in Year 10, and funnily enough, she actually set him up with her best friend at the time! (You can already tell this was meant to come full circle, right?)

They spent their days hanging out at recess and lunch, surrounded by friends, with the boys obsessed with playing Flappy Golf while Sharni cheekily stole Ricky’s beanie and ran off with it — her signature move.

Fast forward eight years, and here they are — still laughing, still teasing each other, and now, officially married.

Their wedding was a reflection of everything that makes them who they are: fun-loving, down-to-earth, and completely devoted to each other. From heartfelt moments to pure party chaos, it was one of those weddings that leaves your cheeks sore from smiling.

You’ve built something so special a relationship grounded in friendship, laughter, and genuine connection. Watching you two celebrate surrounded by the people who adore you was pure magic. Here’s to a lifetime of more dancing, more laughter, and yes, more beanie-stealing. ♡
